What started out as lessons for a wedding dance turned into a life-long love of dance and two successful careers for Tony Gutsch & Yvonne Benavidez (Gutsch). During the peak years of country dance popularity that Tony & Yvonne experienced it all. They were the first Division 1 World Champions, the first TNN Invitational Champions, and honored as dance ambassadors for the Marlboro Country Showdown—a nation-wide circuit of competitions. They opened shows for Kenny Chesney, Confederate Railroad, Chris Ledoux, Steve Warner, and Lonestar. Over the course of their competition career, they won over 21 UCWDC Grand Championships and 10 Masters titles.
